Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She made her screen debut in The Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best actress. She can speak fluent French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother was a violinist, and her father is professor of theater at one the best drama schools in Europe. The Romanian Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. She was also named an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She also received several awards for her part in the movie 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days, a Romanian film that was acclaimed by the London Film Critics as the best films of 2007. She was an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and Two days, 4 months (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) that was honoured with an award of the Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she was in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar for the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later had a prominent performance in the 2014 film Fury in which she portrayed an German woman whose name was Irma the aunt of Emma.
