Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and a singer. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen is from Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished performer from a young age. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for a part on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell, who was 13 when her mom signed to become an agent was also auditioned for TV and newspaper advertisements. Bell also began taking private acting classes around the age of 13. Bell played a brief, uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was part of the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. The school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after the completion of her studies. Bell left the school in 2001, when she was cast in the role Becky for Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and the credits only show her. In 2002, Bell made an appearance in her first Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
